African Americans with melanoma are often diagnosed at later stages and require more complex care. Despite similar hospital outcomes to Caucasians, disparities in early diagnosis and care access persist. Analysis of NIS data (2016-2021) reveals African Americans have longer hospital stays and greater need for post-discharge specialty care. Targeted interventions for early detection and equitable care are crucial to address these inequities.
